Educational Community for Homeowners (Echo) is an educational nonprofit corporation dedicated to assisting homeowner associations. Established in 1973, its mission is to foster a higher quality of life in community associations through education, advocacy, and networking. Accordingly, Echo has partnered with thousands of HOA board members and engaged homeowners to help them become effective volunteer leaders in their communities and to make decisions with confidence. In addition to advisory and advocacy services, Echo assists HOA board members and engaged homeowners on the crucial topics facing their communities. These include financial and legal issues, insurance, maintenance, strategic planning, and best management practices. Echo conducts more than 100 events per year via live webinars, virtual seminars and workshops, regional in-person events, and on-demand programming on the Echo YouTube channel. Echo also publishes written content in the quarterly Echo Journal, the Echo Insight e-newsletter, and on their website at https://echo-ca.org/. Echo is currently based in and focused on California HOAs with national expansion plans in the works.
